I have solutions.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Marketing comes into play at many points in the\u00a0<a title=\"The decline of the funnel and the rise of content merchandising\" href=\"http:\/\/content26.com\/blog\/the-decline-of-the-funnel-and-the-rise-of-content-merchandising\/\" target=\"_blank\">consumer decision journey<\/a>\u00a0(or purchase funnel, if you like). Marketing, like psychoanalysis, speaks to consumer emotion, past (and present) desires, identity,\u00a0<a title=\"Id, ego, and super-ego\" href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Id,_ego_and_super-ego\" target=\"_blank\">ego, and id<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Merchandising, like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), addresses a particular phase of a person&#8217;s experience: the evaluation or consideration phase of the shopping process.<\/p>\n<p>In this metaphor, maladaptive behaviors are really just questions or concerns. Solutions are rich product-detail content.\u00a0CBT deals with the present time and thoughts or actions that are troubling to an individual.
