(Can\u2019t that be said about every marketing event, though? If a tree falls in a room of marketers, and no one assigns it a hashtag, did it really happen?)<\/p>\n<p>We enviously watched from afar as hundreds of smart, excited people talked about content writing, management, and best practices. Also, er, Kevin Spacey. It all makes sense in the end, I promise, particularly with tweets we selected from the wonderfully robust online conversation the event inspired.<\/p>\n<p>For instance, this stat that underscores the growing importance of content marketing (or inbound marketing, if you\u2019re nasty).<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" lang=\"en\"><p>Purchasers are 5X more likely to engage if you are known as a thought leader in your industry. <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/kokasexton\">@kokasexton<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/CMWorld?src=hash\">#CMWorld<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Lee Odden (@leeodden) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/leeodden\/status\/510126953475878912\">September 11, 2014<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script src=\"\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>Personalization continues to be a hot topic too. Clearly, it&#8217;s important and worth doing.
